Paul has over 30 years’ experience operating as a customs duty adviser to numerous importers in varying trade sectors including multinationals and SME’s. Following a career in HMRC, Paul left the service in 1989 as a Senior Officer in the Investigation Division. He moved to commerce and worked at one of the big four accountancy firms before setting up Bell Davies in 1994 with fellow partners. Over the last few years, Paul’s work has resulted in the recovery of millions of £’s in overpaid duty from HMRC on behalf of UK retailers.

Following graduating with a Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2010, Alex went straight into customs consultancy for a well-established consultancy firm. In 2013 Alex obtained the Advanced Certificate in International Trade from the Institute of Export and continues to be an Associate Member of the Institute. Alex specialises in EU/UK policy, classification, regulation and procedures. Over the last decade, Alex has advised clients and conducted customs duty reviews recovering millions of pounds in overpaid duty.
